About

Hey!

I’m Kirra Williams — a registered psychologist and the director of Slip Psychology.

I work with adults who’ve spent years coping, supporting others, and appearing “together” on the outside — even when things feel heavy underneath. Many of the people I support grew up with emotional neglect, parentification, high responsibility, or complex family dynamics, and come to therapy wanting to better understand themselves, reduce overwhelm, and feel steadier day to day.

My approach is collaborative, steady, and trauma-informed. I draw on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside attachment-informed work. I pay attention to patterns that can keep you stuck — like overfunctioning, people-pleasing, perfectionism, shutdown, or feeling constantly “on” — and we work at a pace that feels manageable.

In sessions, you’ll have space to explore what you’ve been carrying and what matters moving forward. Together we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and developing practical strategies that align with your values and the life you’re trying to live.

I also recognise that wellbeing is multifaceted. Where appropriate, I can suggest optional supports that may sit alongside therapy — such as your GP or other allied health professionals — so you can make informed choices about the kind of care that feels right for you.

Online sessions available Australia-wide. After-hours + Saturday appointments available.
